about

KeikoCreative is a Vancouver-based graphic and web design company (formerly KEiKO Designs).
We specialize in outstanding and affordable brand identity (logo, business card, print promotions) and web site design for small and start-up companies. Keiko Lee-Hem is its fearless leader. How can we help you?

I graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a BFA in 2004. I then completed Langara College's Publishing Program in 2006. (I'd recommend this program to anyone wanting some solid, usable skills from design, to writing, editing and even Flash).

Technical Skills include: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, Flash, QuarkXPress (really!), Microsoft Word, email, sewing machine, rotary cutter, stove top coffee maker...

I have an "eclectic" background in making reusable shopping bags, designing and making clothes, making magazines, writing, deciphering the Glaswegian accent from behind a pub bar and upselling with prawn skewers. (Details below.)

I'm an entrepreneur, a maker of crafty things (see what I made), a (not-so-secret) lover of publications spawned by Martha Stewart Omnimedia (Blueprint R.I.P, though you still inspire me), a treasure hunter, a home maker and a cat lover.

I'm passionate about yoga and will one day figure out how easy it actually is to float on my hands in currently impossible poses such as crow. (UPDATE: Getting closer!)

I'm also into personal growth and self-discovery, crediting Landmark Education for opening my mind, and Prem Rawat (aka Maharaji) for opening my heart.

I'm also passionate about the bread-maker that my buddy across the hall generously lets me use. And cats. I'm crazy for cats, which is a tradegy, considering my live-in sweet heart is deathly allergic. (If you know a cure for kitty-induced asthma, PLEASE TELL ME!!)
