ArtStarts in Schools
Residencies & Exhibitions Manager
(2010 – 2012)
I had the great pleasure and fortune to be part of the amazing ArtStarts in Schools team, first as Communications Manager and eventually as the Residencies & Exhibitions Manager. This position put me in charge of two of the organizations main programs – the Artists in the Classroom program (disbursing funds for schools to hire professional artists in their community to lead art-based residencies in the classroom) and as the curator and manager of the wonderful ArtStarts Gallery, dedicated to displaying art created by young people.
This was an abundantly creative, challenging and memorable part of my work/life to date!
(It took becoming a mother and the opportunity to pursue our dream of moving to our own slice of paradise in Nelson to tear me away.)
“Keiko’s creativity, passion and drive to pursue excellence in the work that she does makes her a memorable individual and an asset to any team.
