One Earth Living

I first connected with One Earth Living in 2018 and since then have had the opportunity to support them in magnifying the visibility and impact of several of their initiatives.

Publications include their Lighter Living Action Pack for Neighbourhoods in British Columbia and their Sustainable Lifestyles Options and Opportunities documents, which were produced in partnership with United Nations Environment Programme.

“We've contracted Keiko for reports large and small, as well as specific graphic needs like icons or fonts. She has an incredible eye for design and - importantly! - the ability to deliver our shared vision onto a page. She is a delight to work with, always bringing her expertise to the work along with her warmth and passion for causes close to her (and our!) heart.”

- Dagmar Timmer, Managing Director - Strategic Initiatives & Co-Founder, One Earth Living

Inspiring Lighter Living Action

Project: Publication & Action Pack, PDF for Print & Web | 36 pages
Role: Concept Design & Layout
Year: 2021

The Lighter Living Action Pack for Neighbourhoods in BC was created to inspire its readers to “make a difference where they live by engaging their neighbours in fun and inspiring lighter living actions” in key areas like food, energy and community connection. The design projects that message by building off the organization’s brand with energetic and inviting colours and playful shapes. The content is made easy to digest and actionable with call out boxes and check lists.

Inspiring Sustainable Lifestyles

Project: Publication, PDF for Print & Web | 48 & 18 pages
Role: Concept Design & Layout
Year: 2018

This publication offers proven actions that community groups can take to create and inspire more sustainable lifestyles. Two versions were produced; one for the general population (48 pages), and one tailored to workplaces (18 pages). The cover design was provided as a starting point, with a request to flesh out the rest of the document in a complementary fashion. The goal was once again to present the information in a clear, approachable and action-oriented way.
